Bu makalenin amacı Aristoteles’in Ruh Üzerine 406b26-407b12 satırları arasında Platon’un evren ruhunu nasıl eleştirdiğini incelemektir. Önce bu incelemeye hazırlık olarak Platon’un evren ruhu anlayışı, Timaios diyaloğunun merkezinde yer aldığı haliyle ele alınacaktır. Ardından Aristoteles’in Timaios’u harfiyen okuyuşuna ve eleştirisinin argümanlarının neler olduğuna dair literatürde yer alan tartışmalar gözden geçirilecektir. Eleştiriyi meydana getirdiği tespit edilen başlıca üç argüman detaylı bir biçimde analiz edilecek ve Aristoteles’in hangi bağlamda evren ruhunu eleştirdiği gözler önüne serilecektir.
